Mid century modern Peter Nelson style anglepoise Lamp. This 1940's lamp was manufactured in a factory adjacent to Farnham Air base where plane parts had be made in the war. In the post war period when aluminium was in plentiful supply and no longer needed for planes, aluminium was repurposed into household wares. Which is why this lamp was made alongside other items such as egg cups! It has an engineered and deliberately clean style which makes it very similar in design terms to Peter Nelson's iconic style of this exact era and, as it turns out, location.

But it is lovely on its own as a lamp and a piece of our postwar renaissance. Hows that for a set? If I can, I will.
